During this session practitioners will learn best practices for working with LGBTQ+ immigrants who have experienced domestic violence, intimate partner violence, abuse, and/or trafficking, with special attention to LGBTQ+ trafficking survivors who have or fear being harmed by the criminal legal system. This seminar will help advocates to prepare the best theories of relief for LGBTQ+ immigrant survivors and navigate common inadmissibility issues, communication issues, and other challenges faced by this population while seeking humanitarian relief.
