Session 3: VAWA in the Court: Self-Petitioners in Removal Proceedings
VAWA self-petitioners may be placed in proceedings prior to filing the I-360, while the I-360 is pending, or after an I-485 is denied. While I-360s can be approved regardless of the status of the removal proceedings, these self-petitioners may have complex representation needs and can be eligible for multiple forms of relief, including VAWA cancellation. In this interactive session, participants will examine common issues affecting self-petitioners in proceedings and strategies for addressing them.
