Session 1: Filing a U Petition in Proceedings (2 hrs.) 

We start the conference at the beginning of the U petition process: deciding whether to file and preparing the application packet. When the petition will form the basis of a request to either end proceedings or halt physical removal, making it as perfect as possible from the outset is imperative. In this session, we will discuss the true requirements of a U certification and petition—and common pitfalls to avoid.
