Special Webinar: State Policy: Landscape and Opportunities
Join ASISTA for an overview of the current state-level policy landscape facing immigrant survivors (both positive and negative), and the potential of advocacy for protective policies and legislation. We will discuss successful – and collaborative – advocacy efforts, such as U certification statutes and the Keeping ICE Out of Courts Act in New York, and how those models may be replicable in other jurisdictions. We will also highlight recent anti-immigrant legislation at the state level and the lawsuits and efforts to oppose them. ASISTA welcomes input and questions from the audience.
