Session Five: Experts Roundtable (1.5 hrs.)
To round out the conference, we hear from experts on the many surprises and quagmires that can arise in the course of a removal case against a survivor. Drawing on questions from the audience and those that arise in ASISTA’s one-on-one strategy calls, we will discuss tips for client testimony issues, unexpected behavior from judges or OPLA attorneys, addressing cultural or language differences on the record, harnessing the new EOIR regulations, and other avant-garde practical advice.
