Hello friends and family,

With my move across the pond, some have asked if I remain part of ASISTA and committed to its mission. Frankly, I do now so more than ever. I see, in other countries, how immigrants seeking escape from horrifying conditions abroad are welcomed into communities and offered meaningful opportunities in their new homes. Conversely, the US administration continues to do the complete opposite: stoking fear, forcing unlawful deportations, and creating a human rights crisis. 

ASISTA continues fiercely advocating for the safety and justice of immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.  ASISTA is tirelessly fighting for federal policy changes to preserve crucial protections in U.S. immigration law and challenge injustices as soon as they arise, all while having its  funding challenged, reduced, or eliminated. We now rely almost exclusively on generous contributions from donors and philanthropic foundations.  That’s why I invite you to consider supporting ASISTA’s critical work on behalf of survivors of violence today.
